What's Love Got To Do With It?
"Love doesn't make the world go round, it makes the ride worthwhile." - Franklin P. Jones
It has been said that sales is the transferrance of a feeling so therefore waht better feeling to transfer than that of love. Yes that’s right I used the “L” word.If you want to be a sales success you must first fall deeply in love with something... ideally your product or service. It is the first skill to master simply due to the magnetising power of love.
After training a variety of top level professional sales teams across the country for over a decade I have found that the ones that excel in their game are the ones that are in “love” with one of three things - themselves, their product or helping people through the sales process.
None of these is better or worse than any other, the key determinate here is the “love”.
You will want to create 3 core lists. These are:
- What do I love about myself
- What do I love about my product
- What do I love about helping people
People are drawn naturally to the feeling of love and they enjoy being in the company of uplifting people who send out the vibration of positivity and enthusiasm. I always say to people I train, first fall in love with your product or service then go out and sell that love.
If you work off Mother Teresa’s quote you will find people across the planet are dying for just a drop of love. If they sense that love in you or your product they will buy it on the spot. Just take a moment to let this point settle in, there is far more to it than meets the eye.
Always remember that people are buying a ‘feeling’ off you. The feeling can be anything from safety, to security, to confidence, to happiness, to fun, to adventure, to piece of mind and so on. Once you understand this your product becomes irrelevant in a sense. Understand that we are looking for a feeling and you will have all you need to succeed.
